How the simulator works.

Instead of checking whether a trade you already wrote is fair, the simulator works backwards — you name the prize, and it assembles the offers that get you there.

Name your target

Search for the player (or players) you want to acquire. Their combined dynasty value becomes the price the simulator has to match.

Add your assets

Drop in the players you'd realistically move. Leave it empty and the simulator searches the entire player pool for comparable packages instead.

Generate offers

You get a ranked list of 1-, 2-, and 3-player packages, each labelled fair, slight overpay, or good value — ready to drop into your league chat.

Most dynasty deals fall into one of four shapes. Knowing which one you're making tells you how aggressively to use the fairness band.

Win-now consolidation contender

You're chasing a title and want to turn quantity into a difference-maker. Accept a slight overpay — the marginal star is worth more to you than to a rebuilding manager.

Rebuild sell-off rebuilder

You're moving win-now production for youth and picks. Aim for good-value packages: you should net more raw assets since you're absorbing the other side's future risk.

Buy-the-dip opportunist

A productive player is undervalued after a cold stretch or injury scare. Target him while his owner is nervous and keep your offer in the fair band.

How does the simulator generate offers?
Pick the player you want to acquire. The simulator takes their dynasty value as a price, then searches your tradeable players (or every player, if you don't add any) and assembles 1-, 2-, and 3-player packages whose combined value lands inside the fairness band. Results are ranked by how close they are to a perfectly balanced deal.
Can I limit offers to my own roster?
Yes — that's the most useful way to run it. Add the players you'd actually be willing to trade to the "Your tradeable players" box and every package the simulator returns will be built only from that pool, so you can make any of them for real.
Why does it suggest a slight overpay sometimes?
Acquiring a player usually costs a small premium, because the other manager needs a reason to part with him. Each offer is labelled Fair, Slight overpay, or Good value, so you can choose how aggressive to be based on how badly you want the target.
What's the difference between this and the trade calculator?
The simulator builds offers from a target you name. The trade calculator evaluates a specific deal you already have in mind. They use the same value engine, so they work hand in hand — generate a package here, then confirm it in the calculator.
What package size should I use?
Start with 2. Single-player swaps are cleanest but rarely line up perfectly; 2- and 3-player packages give the simulator room to hit the value almost exactly. Bump the fairness band to "Loose" if you want more options.
